Biography of the artist

1950 Born in Vinh Phu, northern Vietnam, about 100km north of Ha Noi in the mountains. Childhood during the war in rural surroundings between rice fields.
1961-1968 Visit to the Indochina School of Art in Ha Noi, Vietnam. In the Vietnam War, regular internships with the military, fishermen and peasant families in small villages in North Vietnam.
1965-1968 Youth exhibitions in Ha Noi, Poland, the Soviet Union, China and the GDR.
1968-1989 Responsible for the artistic work of the pioneer newspaper and the solidarity newspaper in Vietnam. Exhibitions in Vietnam, 12 countries of Eastern Europe, Cuba, Finland and East Berlin (Intergraph 1976 and 1980).
1973-1978 Studies and state diploma at the College of Design in Ha Noi. State diploma in the fields of silk painting, woodcutting and oil painting.
1972-1984 Student of the famous master of the silk painting Nguyen Phan Chanh (1892-1984)
1989 Group leader for Vietnamese contract workers in Zittau / GDR with the aim of further developing artistic work in Europe.
1992 Relocation to Fürth.
2003 Opening of the gallery in Nuremberg.



1989-1995 In the museum of local history Neugersdorf, city museum Löbau, Zittau (Technical University, metropolitan theater, Kunstlade), Herrnhut.
1995 Participated in the exhibition "Fürther artists for peace".
1998 Exhibitions for the town festival in Fürth and Saalfelden / Austria.
1999 "Longing for Spring" in the Käthe-Löwental residence in Burgfarrnbach and in the municipal library Fürth.
2000 "Greetings from a distant land" in the Kulturdach Gostenhof, "Longing for the sun" in the Galery "Lichthof" in the Langwasser Community Center, Nuremberg.
2002 At the Schöneberg City Hall at the New Year's Reception of the Embassy of Vietnam, Berlin.
